2015 Devil Mountain Run 5K/10K and Free Kid’s Fun Run

A tradition continues in downtown Danville! This flat, fast, family friendly event is perfect for runners of all ages and all abilities.
REGISTRATION: Online registration ends noon on April 30, 2015. If you miss on-line registration you can always come to packet pick-up at Forward Motion Sports on Friday and Saturday May 1st & 2nd to register. Race Day registration opens at 6:30am and closes 15 minutes before race start. $10 more for all divisions on race day. No refunds. Rain does not cancel any event. Registrations completed by noon on April 30, 2015 may pick up race packet and t-shirt at Forward Motion Sports located at 432 Hartz Ave, Danville, Friday May 1st 3pm – 7pm & Saturday May 2nd 10am – 3pm. There will be no packet pick up for pre-registered athletes on race day.
ON SITE REGISTRATION: Friday May 1, 2015 3pm – 7pm & Saturday May 2 10am – 3pm Forward Motion Sports, 432 Hartz Ave, Danville.
ENTRY FEE: Includes entry into 5k or 10k run, chip timed start and finish, race shirt and sponsor goody bag. Optional free SMS of finish time. (enter your cell phone number and provider on entry form to receive.) All pre-registered athletes who entered with a valid email address will receive a race reminder notification email 48 hours before the event.
5k Course Description: The 5k will start on Railroad Ave between Church St and School St, heading South to Hartz Way. A quick Left on Hartz Way and another Left on Hartz Ave (San Ramon Valley Blvd) will take the runners North along Danville Blvd all the way to Wayne Ave. Left on Wayne, and a quick Left again onto the East Bay Regional Park Iron Horse Trail will turn the runners South all the way to the finish line just before W Prospect Ave.
10k Course Description: The 10k will start on Railroad Ave between Church St and School St, heading South to San Ramon Valley Blvd, intersecting with the Easy Bay Regional Park Iron Horse Trail. Turning Left onto the iron Horse Trail, and heading South to Sycamore Valley Rd. Once at Sycamore Valley Rd a jaunt across and onto Camino Ramon will take the runners South to Fostoria Way. Left on Fostoria Way, and Left again onto the Iron Horse Trail, crossing Greenbrook Dr, El Capitan Dr, Paraiso Dr, and Sycamore Valley Rd all the way back to the finish line on the Iron Horse Trail just before it intersects with San Ramon Valley Blvd.
KIDS FUN RUN DISTANCES POWERED BY:

- 8 – 10: 500 yds
- 5 – 7: 200 yds
- 4 & Under: 100 yds
Kids races will start at approximately 9:30am. Plenty of time for Mom, Dad, and the family to complete the 5k or 10k, and get back in to time watch the little people strut their stuff. Each child will receive a race bib and a finishers medal!
ATHLETE SUPPORT: The 5k and 10k course will have mile markers throughout the course. Water stations are located at the start, finish, and along the course.
DIRECTIONS: From I-680 southbound, take Diablo Ave exit West. Left on San Ramon Valley Blvd. Right on W Prospect Ave. From northbound, take Sycamore Valley Rd W. Right on San Ramon Valley Blvd. Left on Railroad Ave.
PARKING: Park in designated areas off of Railroad Ave and San Ramon Valley Blvd between Hartz Way and Prospect Ave.
RACE DAY: Registration and bib pick up located in the parking lot of Lunardi’s, 345 Railroad Ave. Danville. Race day registration fees add $10. Pre-Race pick-up at Forward Motion Sports, 432 Hartz Ave, Danville, the week (Friday 3pm – 7pm & Saturday 10am – 3pm) prior to the race. To pick up for friend/family please bring a printed copy of their registration confirmation email.
T-SHIRTS: Kick-butt race shirts for FIRST 1,000 pre-registered athletes ONLY. Available for day-of sign-ups on a first come first serve basis. No t-shirts for free kids race.
TRANSFERRABLE: Yes, email us at info@DevilMtnRun.com and we’ll be happy to transfer your entry to a friend or family member. Unfortunately we have to cut this off once online registration closes, noon on April 30, 2014, so we can focus our attention on pulling together a safe, fun, and memorable event for all. No refunds.
